Phoenix
NanoSystems, located in Kettering, Ohio, is a manufacturer of
unprecedented high purity carbon nanotubes (CNT’s).
This consistent high purity product enables end-users to
optimally utilize CNT’s in their applications at a competitive
cost. Phoenix produces
CNT’s in various forms, including bulk tubes, clusters,
buckypaper, dispersed tubes, and foam substrates.
Phoenix
NanoSystems was founded in response to the inconsistencies in
quality and supply that exists within the current CNT market.
The R&D group of Phoenix wanted to utilize CNT’s within
their research activities and was unable to procure high quality
tubes to optimize their application.
As a result, they began research activities on the
development of high quality CNT’s.
The resulting CNT manufacturing process produces
consistent high quality tubes at a scalable volume.
While the cost for Phoenix CNT’s is very competitive
within the market, we can drastically reduce the costs to our
customers by eliminating the purification processes necessary on
other manufacturers’ CNT’s.
Our mission is
to provide carbon nanotubes that will enable manufacturers to
significantly advance the performance and technical
specifications of their products.
While we envision an infinite number of future
applications for CNT’s, the current market includes hydrogen
storage, sensors, fuel cells, and batteries.
Companies using Phoenix tubes in their applications will
realize significant cost savings compared to other CNT’s as a
result of our high purity.
These cost savings will come from the total purchased
cost of the product, as well as the ability to eliminate
in-house post purification processing.
This cost savings, coupled with technical performance
that meets the market’s expectation will allow for the further
development of advanced materials technology.
